Local teacher, local values for Placer Union High School Board District 5

With nearly 20 years experience as a public high school teacher and as a product of local public schools, Patrick is running for the Placer Union High School Board to protect what has helped make our schools some of the best in the state, while continuing to make them even stronger—by empowering teachers, supporting safe and inclusive schools and ensuring that all our kids can reach their full potential and meet the new economy.

About Patrick

“I grew up in Placer County and I know that PUHSD and Del Oro are special communities. As the father of two daughters who attend our local public elementary schools and who will soon attend Del Oro, I am deeply committed to safeguarding the quality of their—and all our kids’, educational experiences now and for years to come.” – Patrick

Key Priorities

Student and Academic Success

Now, more than ever, students need to graduate ready to meet the new economy –whether that is college, vocational training or other career paths. I will advocate for academic excellence in the classroom and for expanded college and career path resources.

Community and Parent Engagement

I know firsthand that building stronger connections between schools, teachers, parents and the broader community is absolutely critical to both student and school success.

Safe and Inclusive Schools

I want to promote initiatives that ensure all students feel safe, respected, and valued in their learning environments.

Teacher Support and Development

PUHSD and Del Oro have amazing teachers! Championing their professional development, fair wages, and improved working conditions will enhance student learning and keep our schools competitive.

Quality Education for All

I will continue to advocate for policies that help ensure access to resources and opportunities for every student, regardless of their background.
